Frequently asked questions.
Do you have a storefront?
We do not have a storefront nor do we have plans to open one anytime soon. We have a residential/cottage kitchen which is well set up for market vending and less overhead costs, allowing for greater flexibility and creativity in creating our products.
Is your kitchen certified gluten-free?
Though we work to prevent cross contamination of any allergens, our kitchen is NOT gluten-free certified.
Known potential allergens within the kitchen are: PEANUTS, TREE NUTS, SOY, COCONUT, SESAME, GLUTEN. Our kitchen does NOT contain: milk/dairy, meat, shellfish, eggs. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any allergy related questions or concerns.
Why are your products plant based?
For humans
Many of our customers have food sensitivities that prevent them from indulging in traditional baked goods, and we are happy to provide options that are egg, dairy, and occasionally gluten free. **It is important to note we are unable to ensure items are safe for those with severe allergies** The ultimate goal is to be undetectable if not better than the 'real' thing.
For animals
Food is a very personal and sometimes controversial topic so in the interest of keeping things light, we'll be concise. The large industries which produce the majority of meat, dairy and eggs are very unkind to animals. We don't have to take part in that to eat healthy and delicious food so we just don't!
For the environment
Animal agriculture contributes heavily to climate change, and reducing our consumption of animal products can reduce our carbon footprint. We're definitely not here to preach but simply to offer an alternative that aligns with our ethics and our tastebuds :)
